How to Photograph your Kids!?!
The first tip that I want to share with you is probably the most important thing that I have ever learnt and it is by far the easiest thing to do.
TAKE MORE PHOTO’S!!
Simple as that. Get out your camera right now and start snapping. I guarantee that you will take a few duds and some that are fine but there will probably also be at least one that makes you say “aahhh” and smile. Just remember that you have nothing to lose by trying and everything to gain. The more pics you take, the better the chances that you will get lucky and catch that cheeky smile! In my experience, the more I do anything the better I get at it and photography is definitely no exception.
Forget the rules and have some fun. The photo’s don’t have to be perfect so don’t worry about anything but enjoying yourself. After all what is the point if it’s not fun.
Enjoy and let me know if you strike gold!!
Hello, I tend to agree. But it isn’t just about taking lots of pictures that enables you to improve, its the study of them. Learn what worked, what didn’t, and why? Be careful of all the warm and fuzzy comments on web-sites – try club competitions, workshops etc
Sometimes it feels harsh, sometimes you kick yourself for shaving a few vital pixels off an image, missing the focus by a whisker or leaving a high ISO setting dialled in by mistake. Sometimes you discover something that nobody else has seen like that before.
Photography opens your eyes to a new world. It maybe colourful, black and white, focused, arty…. whatever you want your world to be.
There’s gold at the end of the rainbow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Take Care, S
Thanks for the comment. The tips are written to encourage people to try photography. I agree with your point as I am sure all photographers would and I definitely plan to get more in depth in later tips.
I still think taking photographs is the first step and most people will study the pictures automatically without consiously thinking about it.
Thanks again!
